For renting a scooter we require one of these documents:

• Passport
• Cédula
• Drivers license

All documents of identification must showing a photograph

Above all we need a creditcard to make a deposit !

Refundable Damage Deposit

A damage deposit will be processed prior to departure, and can only be paid via creditcards. The amount of the deposit is $300,-. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. The amount is refunded when the machine is returned on time, undamaged and with a full fuel tank.

Insurance

Since there is no insurance available in Guatemala for motorcycles, the hirer pays the deposit at the beginning of the rental period and is fully responsable for all the damages to the motorcycle during the rental period, this include damage due to an accident, fire and theft. After the damage costs are refunded, Ceibarent will return the damage deposit to the rider/hirer.

Minimum age for rentals

For driving these scooters, a driver´s license is not required in Guatemala. But the minimum age to drive is 18 years old and the person must be capable to drive a scooter and must know enough about the traffic rules in Guatemala.
